Email List of Volunteers (ELVs)
Many parishioners have spoken to me over the years, offering to help out now and then with one thing or another urging me to call on them if I needed help with this, that or the other thing. When things do arise, however, it is often difficult to access these people. I know there are many people out there who would be happy to offer services for an hour here or there, maybe be a greeter at a funeral, bake for a funeral or help Larry with some job he has on the go or work in the kitchen for a function. Many of these people are not part of one of the formal groups in the church (SPIRIT, ACW etc.) and don't have the time or inclination to be but would still like to be called on occasionally when something is going on and an extra hand is needed. This is where the ELV's come in. We are compiling a list of people who would like to help out occasionally if their schedule permits. An email will go out to the group when there is need and if you can help at that time you can confirm with an email and I will send along the details to you. If you would like to be a part of this list you can email me (bdelo@accesscable.net), speak to me at coffee hour or leave a message at the parish office and I will be happy to add your name to the group. Come and be one of the ELVs at Christ Church. - Yvonne Delo
Blankets for the Homeless
Christ Church is still looking for volunteer(s) to take over this very important Christ Church project. Parishioners bring in wool or already knit 8” x 8” squares. The squares have to be sewn together to make a blanket; then the blankets are distributed to Turning Point, Bryony House, or any other shelters that are in the Yellow Pages. Please talk with Rev Steve Laskey or Lindsay Patriquin, Parish Administrator
All notices for the Mid Week Announcements
